Calvary Moravian Church

Come in Faith, Go with Peace, Live God's Love

who we are

Calvary Moravian Church

Calvary Moravian Church is a member of the international Protestant denomination popularly called the Moravian Church. For over five centuries the Moravian Church has proclaimed the gospel in all parts of the world, ministering to the needs of people wherever they are.

For over 75 years Calvary has been a west Allentown neighborhood church, dedicated to living God's love. Our worship, practices and faith centers around relationship between God and our brothers and sisters, seeking to serve and love where we can.

As part of the worldwide Moravian church, we experience God in relationships with each other and keeping love as the center of our faith experience. We often quote this motto:

In essentials, Unity, In non-essentials, Liberty, and above all things, Love!

Our Goals

Calvary 1941

Come in Faith, Go with Peace, and Live's God Love!

We bring people who are seekers together to grow in their faith as a community. With the tools of music, worship, prayer, and service, we grow both as individuals and a community as part of this church family.

Our worship (10:45 a.m. or first Sunday of the month in contemporary worship at 9:30 a.m.) leaves us with peace and strength to face our challenges and creatively see where God can use us each day. Christian Education for all ages, in Sunday School (9:30 a.m.) and Bible study groups, helps us to grow and dig deeper into God's teaching for our lives.

Acts of service in our local community and gifts to the broader Moravian church and mission work connect us to our neighbors in need and help us to live God's love in a tangible way.
