Welcome/Announcements
Call to Worship
“No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.”- 1 John 4:12-13
Hymn 463 God is Love, Let Heaven Adore Him (verses 1 and 3).
God is Love, let heaven adore him;
God is Love, let earth rejoice;
let creation sing before him and exalt him with one voice.
God who laid the earth’s foundation, God who spread the heaven above,
God who breathes through all creation: God is Love, eternal Love.
God is Love: and though with blindness, sin afflicts the souls of all,
God’s eternal loving-kindness holds and guides us when we fall.
Sin and death and hell shall never o’er us final triumph gain;
God is Love, so Love for-ever, o’er the universe must reign
Children’s Message – Where is God?
– Responsive Liturgy “As we gather in this place – God is here”
“Lord, I lift Your Name on High”. Bob Kahle, keyboard, Gary Gipson, guitar
Lord I lift Your name on high
Lord I love to sing Your praises
I’m so glad You’re in my life
I’m so glad You came to save us
You came from heaven to earth to show the way
From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay
From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky
Lord I lift Your name on high

Prayers of the People
Pastoral Prayer/Lord’s Prayer.
Scripture Acts 8:26-40. Karen Kahle.
“Thy Word” by Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith, Bob Kahle, keyboard.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (repeat)
When I feel afraid, Think I’ve lost my way
Still you’re there right beside me
And nothing will I fear, As long as you are near
Please be near me to the end
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (repeat)
I will not forget. Your love for me and yet
My heart forever is wandering
Jesus be my guide, And hold me to your side
I will love you to the end
Nothing will I fear as long as you are near
Please be near me to the end
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path
(Repeat)

Sermon. “Relationships or Religion” Rev. Janel Rice.
Hymn 790. “Guide Me, O my Great Redeemer”
Guide me O Thou Great Redeemer, Pilgrim through this barren land
I am weak but you are mighty, Hold me with your powerful hand
Bread of heaven, Bread of Heaven,
Feed me now and evermore, Feed me now and evermore.
Open now the crystal fountain, where the healing streams flow
Let the fire and cloudy pillar, Lead me all my journey though
Strong Deliverer, Strong Deliverer,
Be Thou still my strength and shield, Be Thou still my strength and shield.
When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my fears subside
Death of death, And hell’s destruction
Land me safe on Canaan’s side
Songs of praises, Songs of praises
I will ever give to thee, I will ever give to thee
Benediction
