Mask Policy of Calvary: If you come to the church and you’re fully vaccinated, you don’t have to wear a mask. But please continue to monitor your health and don’t attend in-person worship if you feel ill.

Joyful Noise 

In July we will collect for the local organization Family Promise, which assists children experiencing homelessness and their families by housing families in local churches and providing a day center for them.   

Cool Treats, Summer Nights

Each last Wednesday of month (July 28th), join us outside between 7-8 p.m. for a cool treat from Sprinkles Ice Cream truck as well as live music (featuring Grace Hochella and Russ Rentler).       Children and Families are welcome to come at 6:30 p.m. for a special storytime, crafts  and Free Books from our Reading Room- and stay for ice cream and music!  

WOW Worship 

St Timothy’s Lutheran Church (140 S. Ott St. in Allentown) invites you every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. to an outside worship service featuring a rotating praise band and guest preacher.   Every Wednesday is a great choice to worship and hear a different band at St. Timothy’s up to and including Aug. 11th!  

The flowers enhancing the sanctuary are presented to the Glory of God 

by William Glose III in honor of his wife, Elaine I. Glose.

The LORD is my shepherd,

I have everything I need. 

I want plenty of things, long for so much, desire a world of things. But what Lord, do I need? 

He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. 

Lord, we burn ourselves out at times, take on too much. Please help us to pause, to find moments of refreshment amidst the busy-ness… 

He renews my strength. 

We are so tired at times, so wrung out from the day. Renew our strength Lord, please, give us patience and endurance…

Enemies appear in many guises – peer pressure, cynicism, rebuffs and negative criticism. Your word offers us a feast of encouragement. Thank you Lord. 

You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. 

Help us to keep in mind that we are your prodigal children, welcomed home, forgiven, invited in… 

My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and love will pursue me forever. I will live in the presence of the LORD all my days. 

Thank you for all the good things in our lives, and the promise of fullness of life with you. Amen.
